Hello. I’m glad you’re here.
We’re living in challenging times. Many aspects of modern life are out of sync with human biology, sometimes making it hard to stay connected to our bodies and our optimal wellness. And…a lot is always going right in our bodies… Thankfully, our amazing nervous systems can help us continually rebalance and grow in capacity.
I love working with clients to access and partner with the nervous system’s “rest and digest” response–for health of body and mind. Skilled touch is a helpful way to reconnect with our natural ability to restore balance, heal, adapt, and thrive.
With space, time, and the right support, we can downshift, process, and re-regulate. As this happens, we can take those deeper breaths, move more freely, and just feel better.
I offer thoughtful touch work, therapeutic presence, and space to support your physical and emotional wellness, nervous system regulation and resilience, and embodied personal growth.
I listen with my hands, to work WITH you and your body—slowly, so your body and mind can process, integrate, and organize new ways of moving and being (neuroplasticity!).
I bring spaciousness, curiosity, and compassion to our sessions.
Reducing stress and feeling more relaxed and connected, can be helpful for improving pain, mood, sleep, digestion, energy, movement, concentration, and creativity.
There are many possible points of entry for healing and embodiment. I am informed by various somatic modalities which address different tissue layers and aspects of being a human in a body, and invite different types of presence and awareness.
We’ll work together to listen to what is most helpful for you in the moment.
“There is a voice that doesn’t use words. Listen.”
~ Rumi
Massage and bodywork can be an important part of overall wellness and happiness. We’re wired for touch and it’s a basic human need.
My touch is present, intentional, relaxing, and therapeutic, and can be from gentle to firm (no deep pressure techniques).
Depending on your needs and preferences each day, our sessions can be specific and detailed, as well as broad and integrative. I listen and work with you and your body so your body can integrate the experience and function better over time.
I specialize in modalities that don’t cause pain or add too much intensity and are helpful for overall nervous system regulation (but still feel like we’re finding and getting at the right spots!).
I am influenced by Myofascial Release, Trager®, Swedish massage, positional release, active muscle resistance, Presencing Somatics, DermoNeuroModulation (DNM), and more.
These sessions can be clothed, or unclothed with professional draping.
Somatic Support for healing, wellness, and growth
Are you interested in touch support with enough space to allow your body to deeply rest, process stress, and come back into balance, at its own pace?
In this subtle yet powerful work, I help you access and grow your unique physiological resources to relax, reconnect, and feel better. The pace is slower than traditional massage. We’ll gently encourage the natural deactivation and healing that are always happening. I bring spaciousness, curiosity, compassion, and a stable therapeutic presence to support your nervous system in increasing its capacity. This can be helpful for stress, pain, illness/injury–or just feeling more connected (and happier!).
Depending on your needs and preferences each day, this work may be more still, such as holding body areas often helpful for relaxation and nervous system regulation (head, ankles, kidney/adrenals or others), exploring movements, or including gentle massage and bodywork modalities. We may also use mindful somatic awareness, engagement with the external environment, or other sensory activities suited to you. These experiences gradually rewire the brain and remap the body.
My primary influences are 24 years of bodywork experience, my own mindfulness/embodiment practices, and training in Somatic Experiencing®, Organic Intelligence®, Polyvagal Theory, Transforming the Experience-Based Brain/Transforming Touch®, Presencing Somatics, and DermoNeuroModulation (DNM).
These sessions are clothed, on a massage table or seated in a chair.
Please note: This work is focused on physiology and is not mental health counseling.
