Restorative Massage & Somatics on Queen Anne

Body-Oriented Care with a Nervous System Focus

Welcome to a cozy and calming retreat for Massage, Bodywork, and Somatic Support, on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. I’m glad you’re here.

This is a space to…

Breathe...

Rest...

Feel Good in Your Body.

I offer Traditional Massage, Bodywork, Vagus Nerve Massage, and Somatic Support for reducing stress and feeling more relaxed and connected. These sessions often improve pain, mood, sleep, digestion, energy, movement, concentration, and creativity.

I listen with my hands, to work with you and your body—slowly. I bring spaciousness, curiosity, and compassion to our sessions.

You can read below to see if you’re more interested in Traditional(ish!) Massage & Bodywork, Vagus Nerve Massage, or Somatic Support. If you’re not sure, we’ll work together to figure it out, and listen to what is most helpful for you in the moment.

“There is a voice that doesn’t use words. Listen.”

Traditional(ish) Massage & Bodywork or Vagus Nerve Massage

~Traditional(ish) Massage & Bodywork:
I draw from modalities affecting the various tissue layers to help clients decrease pain, increase ease of movement, and just feel better. I primarily combine Myofascial work (directed to the skin and connective tissues around muscles), Swedish massage (long, flowy strokes, kneading, friction), Trager® (soothing neuromuscular repatterning through rocking and rhythmic passive movement), and DNM (Dermoneuromodulation-work with cutaneous nerves). I work slowly, with medium pressure. Sessions can be clothed, or unclothed with professional draping.

~Vagus Nerve Massage:
Therapeutic and deeply relaxing upper body massage specifically focused on the pathways of the vagus nerve, which regulates the stress and relaxation responses in the autonomic nervous system. Working slowly, gently, and intentionally with the head, ears, neck, shoulders, and abdomen (if desired) can help activate this nerve and the parasympathetic system. Stimulating the vagus nerve can help with sleep, digestion, pain, mood, and overall health and well-being. Sessions can be clothed, or unclothed with professional draping.

Presence. Space. Time.

In Somatic Support sessions, I provide gentle, intentional contact and support, with more time and space to pause, breathe, and just be. Often these sessions include more stillness, with longer holds for points that help with deep nervous system resetting-such as the head/brain stem, kidneys/adrenal glands, gut, and feet. You may even fall asleep.

This work draws from my studies in Somatic Experiencing®, Organic Intelligence®, and Transforming Touch®, as well as my own mindfulness/embodiment practices.

These sessions are clothed-please wear anything you are comfortable in.
